Photography of Matt Baugh, Your Friendly Neighborhood Photographer

About

Matt Baugh has been doing photography for over 20 years. His first “job” in photography was as the High School Yearbook Head Photographer. There he learned the fine art of candid photography and how each and every shot counts (mainly because it was film). Matt’s first paid job was while he was still in high school, under the instruction of Dorian Photography. He focused on Elementary School mugshots, and later got into sports. There he developed (punny, I know) a love for capturing action. Matt got his first wedding gig around this time as well and found a joy in genuine smile.

Matt served an LDS Mission to Switzerland and fell in love with the people, food and of course the landscape and architecture photography styles. Unfortunately, many of his pictures didn’t turn out due to a faulty camera.

Matt later finished an internship at the Walt Disney Company in the Photo Imaging department at Disneyland in California. Taking pictures of thousands of guests in such a short amount of time, Matt was awarded with a rare award, The High Four for exceptional guest interaction from Mickey Mouse himself. His pictures were featured in a “How-To” booklet that was published only one week into his internship, and many others were recognized as best picture of the day and week.

Since then Matt has dabbled in Macro photography and HDRi. The sky is the limit for this photographer. Book him now for your next wedding, rock concert, event, senior pictures, indoor staging or anything!
